Robbery triggers Khloé Kardashian and Kendall Jenner to look at guns for protection
On Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Khloé Kardashian and Kendall Jenner discussed the increasing dangers surrounding their family and what they could do to protect themselves, following a robbery that happened at Kendall’s home in March, in which $200,000 worth of jewelry was stolen.
“I feel like we’re so targeted, and people are now breaking into our homes and stalking us. Just to be knowledgeable to know how to protect ourselves,” Khloé told Kendall as the two discussed what they can do to feel safe at night. Kendall said, “I think in the last year, the conversation of safety has really changed in my family. Ever since Kim’s situation in Paris, my robbery, my stalkers, like, I think that a lot’s been happening to all of us. It’s just… it’s a scary world.”
While Khloé and Kendall both came to the conclusion that they should learn how to handle a gun, Kim Kardashian was on the other side of the discussion. “Owning guns just has never been my thing, and I think with kids in the house, I just don’t think that, you know, it’s something that I’m comfortable with,” said Kim.
Khloé and Kendall still decided to visit a shooting range and, after learning how to properly handle a gun, they too decided that it was best for them to leave the weapons to the professionals. “Mass shooting after mass shooting after mass shooting is happening, and it’s so terrifying and so depressing, and I think the answer is not to add more guns into the world,” Khloé admitted to Kim. She continued by saying, “No matter how informed or how much practice we’ve had, accidents could happen. They’re accidents. And I know that we don’t even want that possibility to be around us. So I would rather avoid all of this and leave the guns to our security team.”
