Rob Riggle Joins Terry Jones Comedy ‘Absolutely Anything’

EXCLUSIVE: Rob Riggle has joined the Terry Jones-directed comedy Absolutely Anything for GFM Films. Riggle will join Simon Pegg, Kate Beckinsale, Eddie Izzard and Robin Williams. Jones and Gavin Scotts penned the screenplay and Ben Timlett and Bill Jones are producing. Production begins in April in London.
Pegg plays a disillusioned school teacher who suddenly finds he has the ability to do anything he wishes. This power is bestowed on him by a group of power-crazed aliens who are voiced by Monty Pythoners John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle and Michael Palin. Riggle will play the role of Colonel Grant.
Riggle is currently shooting the NBC pilot The Pro with Rob Lowe. He will next be seen reprising in Columbia Pictures’ comedy sequel 22 Jump Street, and follows with the Fox comedy Let’s Be Cops opposite Jake Johnson, Nina Dobrev, and Damon Wayans Jr. Riggle also co-stars with Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels in Dumb And Dumber To, the Farrelly Brothers comedy which Universal opens in November. Riggle is repped by WME, Principato-Young and Sloane, Offer.
