Rising Bollywood Star Sharvari Celebrates Career-Defining Year After Landing Major Spy Universe Role: ‘I Mean Business’ (EXCLUSIVE)
Rising star Sharvari is marking 2024 as her defining year in Bollywood, with three distinctive roles and a coveted spot in Yash Raj Films’ spy franchise.
“I consider 2024 as the year where my all prayers were answered. It has truly been a milestone year for me professionally and I needed this success to get noticed by the industry,” says Sharvari in an exclusive chat with Variety, reflecting on her trajectory.

The actress anchored the social drama “Vedaa” in the title role, confronting India’s caste system, before making waves in Netflix’s “Maharaj” as part of its ensemble cast taking on religious exploitation. Her horror-comedy “Munjya” proved her commercial viability, with its dance number “Taras” becoming a sensation.
“Getting to play three completely diverse roles for my projects in 2024 was my moment to show the industry that I mean business,” she says. “I have a lot of ambition, a lot of hunger and I want to reach the top.”
To cap a memorable year, Yash Raj Films cast Sharvari in “Alpha,” the production house’s first female-led entry in their successful spy universe. “Being the youngest spy of YRF Spy Universe is beyond a dream come true — it’s a responsibility and an extraordinary opportunity rolled into one,” Sharvari notes.
The role demands intense physical preparation, which she embraces enthusiastically. “I want to become an action star, and this feels like the beginning of making that dream come true. The prep has been intense – I’ve been training rigorously, working on everything from martial arts to stunts, and it’s been an exhilarating process.”
Looking toward 2025, Sharvari aims to balance her action-star aspirations with more emotional roles. “I want ‘Alpha’ to be a huge success story for everyone associated with this film and I want to sign a lovely romantic film in 2025. I’m really looking for a film that can touch people’s hearts and tell them that true love does exist in this world.”
