Reports Suggest Kate Middleton Likely Won't Make Another Public Appearance Anytime Soon
Fans were delighted to see Kate Middleton out and about over the weekend for Trooping the Colour, but it may have been the last time the public will be seeing her for a while.
According to new reports, Middleton's appearance at King Charles' birthday parade on Saturday, June 15, is likely to have taken quite a toll on the princess, who is still undergoing treatment for an undisclosed form of cancer.
"The princess has this sort of swan-like quality about her—she's sort of gliding on the surface—but beneath the water, I think often she's paddling quite frantically," royal expert Katie Nicholl told Entertainment Tonight. "I can only imagine that a huge amount of preparation and time and effort and energy will have gone into Saturday's appearance."
Fans were overjoyed to see Middleton, 42, looking just as radiant as ever, but according to Nicholl, the graceful appearance likely came at a price.
"She was on her feet for a long period of time," Nicholl continued, recalling, "There was a moment where she was watching the parade... and was offered a seat, which she gratefully accepted. That's just a bit of an acknowledgement that she is not as strong, not as fit, as she was before she went into this treatment."
However, the royal expert insisted, "If you didn't know that she was going through cancer treatment, you would never have guessed."
Prince William's wife shared her cancer diagnosis with the world in March, after months of being noticeably absent from public events.

Prior to Trooping the Colour, Middleton hadn't been seen publicly since December 2023. She underwent a planned abdominal surgery in January, and learned about her diagnosis shortly after.
"I think a day like Saturday, where she knows the eyes of the world are on her, there is a huge amount of scrutiny that will take its toll," Nicholl added to ET, while theorizing that another public appearance isn't likely for the princess in the near future.
"I think we can probably imagine that she probably had a long and well deserved rest afterwards," Nicholl added. "I don't think we can expect to see her in public for a little while. That's going to take some recovery from."
Prior to her appearance on Saturday, Middleton released a statement on social media to tell fans that her treatment is still ongoing, and while she has both "good and bad days," she knows that she isn't "out of the woods yet."
