Renowned violinist Joshua Bell to perform in Columbus this fall
This fall, the Grammy Award-winning violinist and conductor Joshua Bell is bringing his international classical expertise to the McCoy Center for the Arts on Oct. 4.
Bell will be joined by Peter Dugan, pianist and host of the NPR classical music podcast, "From the Top."
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. this Friday and can be purchased in-person at the CBUSArts Ticket Center at the Ohio Theatre, online at capa.com, CBUSArts.com or by phone at (614) 469-0939. Tickets start at $47 and go up to $107.

With an accomplished 40-year career, Bell had his first violin at the age of 4, a makeshift collection of rubber bands he stretched to different lengths across dresser drawers. Today, he's taken to the stage with several major orchestras around the world and has performed for three American presidents and justices of the Supreme Court with his violin — one with real strings, this time.
Alongside his six Grammy Award nominations, he was named "Instrumentalist of the Year" by Musical America, deemed a “Young Global Leader” by the World Economic Forum and is a recipient of the Avery Fisher Prize.
Harnessing the power of music for diplomatic relations and reaching international issues, he was featured in the PBS Live from Lincoln Center special, "Joshua Bell: Seasons of Cuba," as a part of President Barack Obama’s Committee on the Arts and Humanities’ mission to renew diplomacy with Cuba.

Additionally, he has played a concert for Ukraine with conductor Dalia Stasevska and the INSO-Lviv Symphony Orchestra in Warsaw, Poland.
Recently, Bell returned from an international tour of "The Elements," a series of five newly-commissioned works by renowned modern composers, which he has since performed with NDR Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Hong Kong Philharmonic, New York Philharmonic, Chicago Symphony and Seattle Symphony.
