Rebel Wilson recreates her hilarious ‘Pitch Perfect’ audition
Rebel Wilson recently visited The Graham Norton Show and restaged the audition that landed her the role in the very first Pitch Perfect movie. Wilson said, “I sang Lady Gaga, ‘Edge of Glory,’ but I did my own body percussion.”
She admitted, “And I did have to sing in that audition, and I was a little nervous and then I thought, ‘Just crush it.’”
Wilson was more than happy to recreate the performance, pretending that the host, Graham Norton, was the casting director. She began clapping and beating on her chest to the beat, singing the chorus of the famous Lady Gaga song. But Wilson then switched up her “body percussion” to includes slapping different parts of her body, including her behind.
The studio audience burst into laughter, and it’s no wonder Wilson got the role in the film.
