‘Reacher’ Lands Early Season 4 Pickup at Amazon
The third season of Reacher isn’t set to premiere until next year, but Prime Video is already looking beyond it.
The Amazon-owned streamer has renewed Reacher for a fourth season. The pickup comes months ahead of season three’s debut, which is set for sometime in 2025. (Season three was also announced ahead of the season two premiere).

That Prime Video would want to keep Reacher going is no surprise: The show based on Lee Child’s novels about freelance problem-solver Jack Reacher (Alan Ritchson) is one of the biggest on the platform. Season two, which premiered in December 2023, was the most viewed release of that year on Prime Video. A spinoff series focusing on Maria Sten’s character, Frances Neagley, is also on the way.
“Reacher has become a phenomenon that continues to resonate with our global customers beyond our wildest expectations and we are thrilled to bring the series back for an additional season,“ said Vernon Sanders, head of television at Amazon MGM Studios. “We are looking forward to more action and adventure from the immensely talented team behind the series including [showrunner] Nick Santora, Alan Ritchson, Lee Child, Skydance, and CBS Studios.”
Season three of Reacher will be based on Persuader, the seventh book in Child’s Jack Reacher series. The season will follow Reacher as he goes undercover to rescue an informant held by a haunting foe from his past. Sten will reprise her role as Neagley in season three (though the character isn’t featured in the book); the cast also includes Anthony Michael Hall, Sonya Cassidy, Brian Tee, Johnny Berchtold, Robert Montesinos, Daniel David Stewart and Olivier Richters.
Amazon MGM Studios, Skydance Television and CBS Studios (the latter taking over for the now shuttered Paramount Television Studios) produce Reacher. Santora, Child and Ritchson executive produce with Don Granger, Scott Sullivan, Mick Betancourt, and Skydance’s David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Matt Thunell. Carolyn Harris and Kenny Madrid are the executives in charge of the series for Skydance TV.
