Rapper Bow Wow Arrested in Atlanta for Allegedly Assaulting Woman
Rapper Bow Wow, who now goes by his birth name Shad Moss, was arrested on Saturday morning for allegedly assaulting a woman.
A public information officer with the Atlanta Police Department tells PEOPLE in a statement that officers were called around 4:15 a.m. on Saturday morning.
Police spoke with a woman identified as Leslie Holden, who said that she had been assaulted by the rapper, authorities said.
The rapper, 31, went on to tell police that Holden had assaulted him, according to the PIO.
“Both parties did sustain visible minor injuries. Officers were unable to determine the primary aggressor of the altercation, so both parties were charged with battery,” the statement read.
“Both parties are being processed and will be transported to Fulton County Jail,” police added.
The investigation is ongoing.
A rep for Moss did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.
