According to recent reports, Game Changer’s OTT rights have officially been locked. The movie will arrive on Amazon Prime Video after its theatrical release. Touted to be a political drama, viewers are eager to learn about the plot of Game Changer. Helmed by S. Shankar, it also marks Kiara Advani’s Telugu debut. The film is the story of an honest Indian Administrative Service officer who battles political corruption through fair elections to change the game of governance. Ram Charan to play an IAS officer in Game Changer?
Ram Charan’s Game Changer is produced by Dil Raju, while Karthik Subbaraj, known for “Jigarthanda,” wrote it. The political action thriller is slated for release in September 2024. The team shot the film in Hyderabad, New Zealand, Andhra Pradesh, Mumbai, and Chandigarh. The makers officially announced Game Changer in February 2021 under the working title ‘RC15’, marking Ram Charan’s 15th film as a lead actor.
As per a report by IndiaGlitz, Ram Charan will play a double role in the film. The plot will allegedly revolve around Appanna, a common man (played by Ram Charan) who establishes his political party to help his community. However, his trusted associate betrays him for a more selfish successor (played by SJ Suryah).
The report added that Ram will also play Appanna’s son, Ram Nandan, an election officer. He will allegedly confront the corrupt figures in politics. This is where the film’s plot will include twists and turns. The reports also suggest that there will be three political antagonists in the political action thriller. However, whether this plot is correct or not has yet to be officially confirmed.
