Queen Letizia of Spain Favors Floral Maximalism in CH Carolina Herrera Shirtdress With Vibrant Prints for Barcelona City Hall Meeting
Queen Letizia of Spain fashioned a look by one of her favorite designers for a royal engagement on Tuesday. The Spanish royal attended the annual meeting of Directors of the Cervantes Institute at Barcelona City Hall, wearing a look that put a splashy spin on summertime florals.
For the occasion, Queen Letizia wore a shirtdress courtesy of CH Carolina Herrera. The royal’s midi dress featured silk-blend crepe de chine fabric with a flared skirt and fitted bodice. The base color of the fabric was a soft ivory, with splashes of fuchsia flowers in an abstract design scattered on the dress.

The dress also included a spread collar with hidden buttons on the front placket. For finishing touches, the dress included pearl cufflinks and featured a bow detail for a defined waistline.
To complete the look, Queen Letizia wore a pair of white sandals with a slight heel and wore a set of drop earrings as her accessories. Queen Letizia has worn Carolina Herrera designs in the very recent past.
For a July 15 reception to celebrate the Spanish soccer team’s victory against England at the 2024 Union of European Football Associations Championship Euro match, Queen Letizia paid sartorial homage to Spain and the Spanish soccer team by wearing a red Carolina Herrera midi dress with cap sleeves.
As it would happen, Queen Letizia is not the only member of the Spanish royal family who enjoys designs by Carolina Herrera. For her first solo trip to Portugal as a member of the royal family on July 12, Queen Letizia and King Felipe VI’s eldest daughter, Princess Leonor, fashioned a fiery red power suit by Carolina Herrera.
Carolina Herrera’s designs artfully capture the two greatest qualities of Queen Letizia’s style. The pieces the Spanish royal has worn by the designer perfectly merge timeless, classic silhouettes with contemporary twist and modern elements.
