Queen Letizia of Spain Favors Carolina Herrera’s Fit-and-flared Denim Dress for 2024 Retina Eco Awards
Queen Letizia of Spain returned to her post as presenter at the Retina Eco Awards on Thursday held at Queen Sofia’s National Museum Art Centre in Spain. For the ceremony, Letizia went sleeveless, in a denim dress from Carolina Herrera featuring red accessories.
Letizia’s look was a classic mid-length A-line dress. It features a crewneck as well as a thick belt that cinches the waist. The sleeveless dress also includes seam pinstripes.

To accessorize the look, Letizia wore a pair of candy red Magrit kitten heel pointed-toe pumps — the height is trending at the moment and the royal is a fan of the brand. She also held Menbur’s Malva clutch of the same hue. She’s been seen wearing the clutch as well as the gold ring from Corterno and Nydia Jewellry earrings she chose.
The Eco awards are organized by Retina in collaboration with Capgemini. This year marked the fourth iteration of the event, which recognizes projects surrounding sustainability and climate change while promoting the use of technology. This year’s winners included Cimico, Mapfre, Nortegas, ABB and Sepiia.
The clean, streamlined look is typical for Queen Letizia. Occasionally, she puts slight twists and tweaks on timeless styles. Earlier in the week, she added cutouts to a simple blouse and black trousers look. That ensemble, which she wore to attend the opening of the 2024-2025 professional courses at the Doctor Jose Zapatero Dominguez secondary school, included a crisp, striped blue shirt featuring cutouts at the chest. The shirt was from Victoria Beckham’s Mango collaboration released earlier this year.
Earlier this month, she went for a blouse and trouser look again at a Spanish Association of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis event. She wore a white blouse with three-quarter-length sleeves and front pleating as well as black tailored trousers, both from Hugo Boss.
