Proof Kylie Jenner is the most influential Kardashian of them all
It’s official: Kylie Jenner is the most powerful Kardashian-Jenner of the bunch.
Sure, reality TV’s first family may have Kim Kardashian West to thank for their rise to fame, but each girl has taken her time in the spotlight and extended it on her own — and no one more than 20-year-old Kylie. With more than 128 million followers combined on Instagram and Twitter, the Kylie Cosmetics CEO is one of the most influential social media users — whether you like it or not.
Need proof?
Well, she might have made Snapchat lose about $1.3 billion with a single tweet. The reality star turned makeup mogul was one of the many people to voice frustration with Snapchat’s new update. (More than 1.2 million people signed a petition asking it to remove the redesign.)
sooo does anyone else not open Snapchat anymore? Or is it just me… ugh this is so sad.

The stock closed down 6 percent on Thursday after Jenner said she wasn’t using the app. Sure, Snapchat’s stock has been trending down during the past week, but it’s clear many of her followers care what social media platform she does and doesn’t use.
Here are four other ways Kylie has shown she’s the most influential KarJen:
1. ‘To Our Daughter’ has been viewed almost 60 million times on YouTube.
A whole lot of people want to keep up with Kylie Jenner. After going MIA during her pregnancy, Jenner returned to social media to reveal she and boyfriend Travis Scott welcomed a baby girl.
To make up for her absence, Jenner gave fans a glimpse into her world over the past nine months with To Our Daughter. The 11-minute YouTube video has been viewed more than 59 million times — and it hasn’t even been three weeks.
2. She has the most-liked photo on Instagram ever.
It’s not just Snapchat Jenner who rules. Even after debuting her daughter in the YouTube video, more than 17 million people double-tapped Kylie’s first Instagram photo of her baby. The sweet shot, in which Jenner revealed her little girl’s name, Stormi Webster, became the social media platform’s most-liked photo ever.

To put it into perspective, Beyoncé previously held that record when she announced she was pregnant with twins. Only a little more than 11 million people liked that one.
3. She defines pop culture trends (for better or worse).
When Kylie Jenner stepped out with much fuller lips in 2015, girls took notice. Although the reality star later admitted to getting fillers, she denied having any work done at the time.
Many teens were desperate to get the reality star’s plumper look … no matter what. Social media users (not Jenner) started the #KylieJennerChallenge, which had young women going to extreme measures to “naturally” get bigger lips. Spoiler: Many attempts went horribly wrong. It’s a good thing Kylie started putting out lip kits — it’s a much safer way to get that plumped-up look.
4. Kylie Cosmetics is on track to becoming a $1 billion company.
Kylie Lip Kits became Kylie Cosmetics after its huge success in 2015. In August 2017, Women’s Wear Daily revealed that Kylie Cosmetics did $420 million in retail sales — in just 18 months. It’s apparently on track to see a 25 percent increase in sales this year. By 2020, it could be beauty’s next billion-dollar company. No wonder Kim wanted to get in on the action.
