‘Power Book II: Ghost’ Sets All-Time Viewer Record for Starz Series
The final season of Power Book II: Ghost will go down as the most watched show ever on Starz.
The drama, which is headed toward its series finale on Oct. 4, is averaging 10.5 million viewers across all platforms, measured for 90 days post-premiere. (Several years ago, Starz noted that season five of Ghost’s predecessor, Power, averaged 10.8 million viewers, but over a longer span of time than 90 days.)

The Power franchise, which encompasses four series, has set a number of ratings records for Starz. The flagship series displaced Spartacus as Starz’s most watched show at the time back in 2015 and continued to roll up big audiences over the course of its run. Ghost, Book III: Raising Kanan and Book IV: Force — which notched the biggest opening weekend for any series premiere in the channel’s history — have also pulled in strong viewing numbers over their runs.
Ghost remains among the top shows for Black viewers in the United States, and worldwide, Starz says its subscribers have watched some 1.6 billion hours of the Power universe.
Power Book II: Ghost stars Michael Rainey Jr., Mary J. Blige, Cliff “Method Man” Smith, Gianni Paolo, Woody McClain, Lovell Adams-Gray, LaToya Tonodeo, Alix Lapri, Larenz Tate, , Lightskinkeisha and Michael Ealy.
Brett Mahoney serves as showrunner for season four and executive produces with franchise creator Courtney A. Kemp via her End of Episode banner, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson through G-Unit Film and Television, and Mark Canton through Canton Entertainment. Lionsgate Television produces Ghost and the other Power shows.
