Notably, the network says that there was a sense of “urgency” from viewers to watch the latest episodes, with 11% of premiere day streams coming in the first hour after it launched.
It should come as no surprise that the Power franchise wields quite a bit of influence for Starz, considering that it has amassed 1.5B hours watched globally to date.
Power Book II: Ghost was canceled in March. The series was the first spinoff to come from Power, and it follows Ghost’s son who, after killing his father and covering up, attempts to start fresh and far from his father’s criminal empire. Unfortunately, he is dragged back into a life of crime when his mother (Naturi Naughton) is convicted of Ghost‘s murder.
Stars also include Gianni Paolo, Woody McClain, Lovell Adams-Gray, LaToya Tonodeo, Alix Lapri, Caroline Chikezie, Lightskinkeisha and Michael Ealy.
Brett Mahoney serves as showrunner and executive producer for Season 4. Executive producers are Courtney A. Kemp through her production company End of Episode, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson through G-Unit Film and Television, and Mark Canton through Canton Entertainment. Lionsgate Television produces the series for Starz.
