Popular stand-up comedian and actor to perform in Peoria. Here's what to know
Stand-up comedian and actor Roy Wood Jr. will perform twice in Peoria on Sept. 1, apparently previewing an upcoming taping of a live hourlong special.
The Jukebox Comedy Club announced the event, calling Wood a "A long-time FRIEND and supporter of the Jukebox." The comic will be "taping his 4th hour-long special September 7th in Washington D.C. and WE get to witness it LIVE and UP-CLOSE before anyone else!"
Wood is likely best known for his appearances as a correspondent on "The Daily Show," where he also was a guest host.
The comic is scheduled to perform two shows on Sept. 1, at 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $30 and up and are available at jukeboxcomedy.com.
