Pete Davidson has checked into a wellness facility seeking treatment for his mental health, People reported on Wednesday.
Davidson had been performing a string of stand-up comedy dates for his “Prehab” tour prior to the check-in; he canceled several upcoming show dates in Florida amidst the news, according to the News-Press in Fort Myers.

The comedian has been open with his own mental health and substance abuse struggles for years and has sought treatment at mental health facilities in the past. He checked into rehab last year, later stating that he was taking ketamine every day for four years. The former Saturday Night Live star revealed in 2017 that he has Borderline Personality Disorder and was diagnosed a year prior.
Reps for Davidson didn’t immediately respond to Rolling Stone’s request for comment. A source told People that Davidson’s mental health has “always been a priority” for him. The source further told People that Davidson has been focusing on his sobriety.
Davidson has had an eventful 2024 before the wellness check-in. Earlier this month, a reckless driving charge from March of 2023 was dismissed and wiped from his record. Prior to then, he released a Netflix special at the beginning of the year, and while his autobiographical Peacock series Bubkis had been renewed for a second season last year, he confirmed in March that he wouldn’t be moving forward with the project any longer.
“I do also feel that this part of my life is finished,” Davidson told Variety in March. “I’m very excited for this next chapter and for you guys to see the work. Thank you to all who support me for I am forever grateful.”
