People and Audi Team to Host SAG Awards Afterparty at L.A.’s Shrine Auditorium

Actors will have a place to party on Feb. 23.

People and Audi are teaming to host the official Screen Actors Guild Awards afterparty immediately following the 31st annual event, held at the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall in Los Angeles. The showing marks the magazine’s 27th time hosting the party.

The Hollywood Reporter has received details on the shindig: Event Eleven guru Tony Schubert and his team are handling production and design (see rendering below), a custom-designed DJ booth will host celebrity spinmaster DJ Michelle Pesce, a SAG Awards engraving station will be presented by City National Bank, People, Audi, SAG Awards and Shutterstock are presenting an exclusive portrait studio on site; Momofuku icon David Chang will oversee a curated menu including bing bread with ricotta and chili crunch and his signature fried chicken to be enjoyed with Cooper’s Hawk Lux Sparkling Wine.

“We always look forward to the SAG Awards every year, and to celebrate the night’s biggest winners and the amazing performances from the past year in a very special and intimate setting,” said Charlotte Triggs, People‘s general manager and editor-in-chief. “But now, it has even more importance, knowing what the city of Los Angeles has been through and the impact that SAG-AFTRA will make with their charitable contributions in the community.”

Added executive producer Jon Brockett: “We’re incredibly grateful to People for 27 years of partnership and to Audi for joining us this year in hosting the official Post-SAG Awards Gala. Their joint commitment to honoring actors and supporting the SAG-AFTRA Foundation is especially meaningful this year given those impacted by the fires.”
