Olivia Culpo wanted a 'serious' wedding dress. See what she created with Dolce & Gabbana
For her wedding day, Olivia Culpo told Vogue Weddings she wanted a "serious" dress.
On Saturday, the bride was ushered into Watch Hill Chapel wearing a long-sleeve, crew neck dress, with a 16-foot veil sweeping behind her.
In an interview with Vogue Weddings, she told them them the Dolce & Gabbana dress was designed to reflect how serious she takes marriage, and that she didn't want her wedding dress to feel sexy. Instead, she wanted something timeless, that would compliment her.
“When I think about Christian and what he loves and the moments that he thinks that I’m most beautiful, it’s absolutely in something like this: timeless, covered, and elegant,” she told the magazine.
Culpo married NFL running back Christian McCaffrey after the pair dated for five years. After the church ceremony at Watch Hill Chapel, the reception was held on Ocean House, one of the state's top hotels, which was shut down to the public for the event.
