‘Oldchella’ Gets Mysterious Teaser Videos From Paul McCartney, Bob Dylan, the Rolling Stones, the Who, Roger Waters

“My Generation” is a fitting song to promote what is being called “Oldchella,” a three-day music festival featuring legendary artists like the Who, the Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney, Roger Waters, and Neil Young.

And except for Young, all those artists shared 30-second teaser videos on Facebook promoting the still-unconfirmed event. Each video features a well-known song (obviously, “My Generation” for the Who) and iconic band imagery: Pete Townshend’s windmill move, a flying Pink Floyd pig for Roger Waters, the mouth and lips logo for the Stones, vintage black-and-white Dylan footage, and Sir Paul standing in profile. They all end with the word October.

It remains to be seen whether the fest will officially keep the nickname “Oldchella,” but regardless, it’s looking to take place October 7– 9 at the Empire Polo Club grounds in Indio, Calif. – the same location as Coachella. Both festivals are being promoted by the company Goldenvoice.

This would be the first time all six artists have shared a bill, and despite Young not yet releasing his own teaser video, he’s still a likely co-headliner. In April, while negotiations were ongoing, his longtime manager, Eliot Roberts, told the Los Angeles Times: “You won’t get a chance to see a bill like this, perhaps ever again. It’s a show I look forward to more than any show in a long time.” See all five artists’ videos below.
