The “Obi-Wan Kenobi" Trailer Just Dropped, And My Heart Is Racing Like A Million Miles A Second
HELLO THERE!!! Disney+ has finally dropped the teaser trailer for Obi-Wan Kenobi and, GUYS, it looks GOOOOD.
Before we get into it, check out the trailer here:
The trailer opens on the sands of Tatooine, where we see Obi-Wan watching over a young Luke Skywalker, who we know was left in the care of Anakin's stepbrother, Owen Lars, and his wife, Beru, for safekeeping.
A few moments later, the iconic "Duel of the Fates" theme from the prequel trilogy plays, and this is the exact moment I got CHILLS!
We're also introduced to the new character/villain, Inquisitor Reva (Moses Ingram of The Queen’s Gambit fame), who gets a lot of play in the trailer, likely highlighting her importance in the series.
The limited series takes place 10 years after the events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, where Obi-Wan Kenobi faced his greatest defeat — the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, who turned to the dark side as evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.
Obi-Wan will star Ewan McGregor, reprising his role as the iconic Jedi Master. The show will also feature the return of Hayden Christensen in the role of Darth Vader.
Joining the cast are Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell, and Benny Safdie.
Obi-Wan Kenobi will stream exclusively on Disney+ starting May 25!
