Netflix Snaps Up Israeli Drama ‘Bad Boy’ From ‘Euphoria’ Creator Ron Leshem – Global Bulletin

“Bad Boy,” the new drama from “Euphoria” creator Ron Leshem and writer Hagar Ben-Asher (“Dead Women Walking”), has been snapped up by Netflix internationally.
Inspired by a true story, “Bad Boy” tells the story of a young man called Dean who is held in a cruel juvenile detention facility where he befriends a teenager imprisoned for murder. Twenty years later Dean has left his past behind and become a successful comedian – and he’s determined to keep his youthful indiscretions a secret.

Leshem is showrunner on the series, which is written and directed by Ben-Asher. Daniel Chen, Havtamo Farda and Guy Manster star.
The eight-episode series is produced and co-financed by The North Road Company and Sipur, who serve as co-studios on the project, with Israeli Broadcaster HOT and Tedy Productions producing.
It will launch on HOT in Israel next year followed by 190 territories on Netflix.
