Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka now have a new member of their family, and their daughter Harper is clearly thrilled.
On Sept 4, Harris shared a series of photos of the Burtka-Harris’ newest family member: a new puppy! In the first few photos, we see their new pup Bianca, and a snapshot of Burtka and Bianca running around their backyard. We see pics of her digging in the garden, eating food she found, and playing in the pool.
However, on slide eight, we get an ultra-rare photo of their daughter, Harper, interacting with their new puppy. In fact, she’s squishing her face and playing with her as they cuddle on the floor. How adorable!
For those who don’t know, Harris and Burtka have been together since April 2004, later marrying in Sept 2014 after being engaged since 2006. In Oct 2010, they welcomed twins named Gideon and Harper via surrogacy.
In a previous, super-rare interview with YahooLife in 2021, Harris talked about his approach to parenting. “I kind of approach parenting as a ‘let’s see how it goes’ attitude,” he said. “I think rigidity gets us into more trouble than being flexible. We have our rules and we have our edicts and boundaries, but if you’re super hardcore about things, it turns into more conflict than is necessary.”
