How it went down
Crowdsignal, the independent auditing website, tallied more than 10,000 votes throughout the month. Week by week, most brackets were too close to call until each round's clock stopped.
There were several early round upsets, most notably LowBrow, which tallied the second most nominations, but lost in the first round challenge to Twisted Sheep, where this reporter happily drives 30 minutes each way for a “fancy pizza.”
The ultimate winner?
Luigi’s, owned by Carlo and Kelly Iantosca.
A new reader favorite that opened after our challenge is San Giuseppe in North Naples.
New options open all the time around town with ample opportunity to celebrate in every neighborhood. Lately, this reporter is loving the white pie at Rebecca's Wine Bar.
So go out and mangia!
