There will be music and laughs on CityDeck this summer, with new comedy series in August after Fridays on the Fox
GREEN BAY - CityDeck will again host Fridays on the Fox concerts this summer, but the downtown gathering spot with prime sunset views along the Fox River is also getting a new comedy series.
After the seven-concert Fridays in the Fox series wraps up at the end of July, Comedy on the Deck will debut Aug. 4 and run for three consecutive Friday nights. Comedians will perform family-friendly shows with material appropriate for all ages.
In addition to busy Friday nights, there will also be an early Monday evening series for children. CityDeck Family Shows will feature a rotating offering of music, juggling, magic, balloons and circus tricks from Mischief & Magic.
All three series presented by Downtown Green Bay Inc. are free.
Fridays on the Fox
When: 6-9:30 p.m. Fridays June 9 through July 21
Lineup: NEW Dueling Pianos, June 9; American Platinum, June 16; Bazooka Joe, June 23; Road Trip, June 30; Eight Second Ride, July 7; Hip Pocket, July 14; The Cougars, July 21
What else to know: There is some seating on CityDeck, but guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs. Food and drink for sale from Hagemeister Park.
Comedy on the Deck
When: Aug. 4, 11 and 18
Lineup: Pat McCurdy, 6 p.m. Aug. 4; ComedyCity, 7 p.m. Aug. 11; John DeBoer, 7 p.m. Aug. 18
What else to know: There is some seating on CityDeck, but guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs. Food and drink for sale from Hagemeister Park.
CityDeck Family Shows
When: 6 pm. on alternating Mondays June 12 through Aug. 21
Lineup: Music and dance party, June 12; interactive magic show, including a magic trick for each child to take home, June 26; classic magic show, July 10; Tunes 'n Jugglin', July 24; learn how to make balloon animals, Aug. 7; Secret Circus, Aug. 21
What else to know: Bring your own lawn chairs and blankets. The series also includes family games and the chance to cool off in the CityDeck splash pad.
