Ms. Pat Reveals Katt Williams Paid For Her Father’s Funeral
Ms. Pat has always been vocal about her rough and layered upbringing. The comedian recently appeared on Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay and opened up about the complicated relationship she had with her late biological father from the moment they met up until his death.
When they first met back when she was around 12 or 13, he slapped her unprovoked and a fight ensued between her, him, and her brother. “I beat his a**. Me and my brother beat his a** […] I didn’t know him and he hit me, so I hit him back,” she explained before describing herself as a “forgiving person.”
So when she got older and he got cancer, she welcomed him into her home and became his caregiver. “You came back and took care of the man that did not take care of you,” Pat reflected of the moment he thanked her on his death bed.
Just a day or so after her father died, Pat was asked to tour with Katt Williams.
While there, she was planning the funeral. “He overheard me on the phone […] He said, ‘What you doing?’ I said, ‘My daddy just died. He died Monday. I’m just tryna [make the funeral arrangements].’ He went behind the door, came back with a stack of money, and said, ‘Go bury your dad and come back.’”
Coincidentally, Pat’s father cashed out his insurance policy and spent it before his death. “I coulda kicked his a**,” she quipped. “You know you got cancer and [are dying] and you cash in your insurance policy?! He better thank Katt Williams.” She did attempt to pay Katt back, but he responded, “You don’t owe me nothing.”
This isn’t the first time Katt Williams has looked out for someone. He paid for Melba Moore’s star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame and has gifted money to his old neighborhood and other celebs including Boosie after his release from prison.
