Mourn the End of The Good Wife by Watching the Show's Greatest Moments
There is one positive to the fact that The Good Wife is coming to and end: it's an excuse to relive some of the CBS drama's greatest moments from the past seven seasons!
Will and Alicia's First Kiss
As TV first kisses go, this one is a doozy.
Though they spent much of the first season either ignoring or (at most) obliquely acknowledging their sexual tension, Will ( Josh Charles) and Alicia ( Julianna Margulies) allowed themselves to act on their passions.
And it was amazing.
Eli Deletes Alicia's Voicemail from Will
Gah! Just when Alicia seemed to be headed in towards happiness with Will, Eli ( Alan Cumming) deletes Will's verbal love letter to her as she – literally – chose to stand behind her cheating husband, Peter ( Chris Noth) in the season 1 finale.
Damn you, Eli! But kudos for finally coming clean about it in season 7 ... even if it was too late.
Kalinda at Bat
There are more amazing Kalinda ( Archie Panjabi) moments than we can count. But this season 2 scene pretty much encapsulates everything we loved about the no-nonsense investigator.
Will and Alicia Finally Hook Up
Between the world's longest elevator ride and an uncooperative hotel room key, the anticipation was palpitate as Will and Alicia made their way into the privacy of their hotel room at the end of season 2.
Bonus points for the Mika song playing in the background.
Will's Death
We're still wiping our tears from this surprise season 5 moment.
We couldn't bare to re-watch this, but we knew we had to mention it.
Kalinda Says Goodbye
As much as The Good Wife was focused on Alicia's romance with Will, the second-most-important relationship during the early seasons of the show was between her and Kalinda.
After having a falling out when Kalinda revealed she'd slept with Peter, things were never the same. Even their final goodbye during season 6 was tainted (both on- and behind-the-scenes) by bad blood.
The final nine episodes of The Good Wife begin Sunday, Feb. 14 (9 p.m. ET) on CBS.
