The Misssissippi Two Museums will feature Grammy Award-winning artist at Makers Fest

Grammy Award-winning blues artist Christone "Kingfish" Ingram will be taking the stage in Jackson in May for a free concert to celebrate his new album, "Live in London."

The 24-year-old from Clarksdale will be headlining the Mississippi Department of Archives and History's Mississippi Makers Festival on May 11 at the Two Mississippi Museums' Entergy Plaza, 222 North St.

Ingram has been nominated for three Grammy Awards — one for each of the albums he's released since his first debuted in 2019. His sophomore album, "662," earned the Best Contemporary Blues Album award in 2022. His debut album, "Kingfish," was nominated for Best Traditional Blues Album, which was awarded to fellow Mississippi artist Bobby Rush.
