As the new season is trending on the platform, fans wonder where it was filmed.
The popular web series Mirzapur began in 2018 and has been released in three seasons. It follows the story of the city of Mirzapur, which is ruled by Akhandanand Tripathi. The crime thriller drama features a huge ensemble cast. Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Divyendu, Shweta Tripathi, Rasika Dugal, Vijay Varma, Isha Talwar, Harshita Gaur, Anjum Sharma, Shaji Chaudhary, and more star in the web series.
Puneet Krishna and Karan Anshuman created the web series. The executive producers include Farhan Akhtar, Ritesh Sidhwani, Kassim Jagmajia, and Gurmmeet Singh.
Where was Mirzapur Season 3 shot?
According to Travel and Leisure, the web series has been shot in several locations, including the city of Mirzapur. Jargo Dam in Chunar, 55 km from Mirzapur, is a prominent location for the web series.
There is another major spot in Uttar Pradesh which is featured in Mirzapur Season 3. Tripathi Chowk, shown in the series, is actually the entrance to the Ramnagar Fort, situated in Varanasi. In fact, the Holy City has been the backdrop for several scenes of the web series.
For instance, Kaleen Bhaiya’s mansion is actually situated in Varanasi, not Mirzapur. In addition, the mansion featured in Mirzapur Season 3 is, in reality, Varanasi’s Azmatgarh Palace or Moti Jheel Mahal. It is a private property that is not open to visitors. Varanasi is an important location for Mirzapur, as several scenes of the web series were shot on the city’s ghats.
Fans can watch the Mirzapur Season 3 by streaming it on Amazon Prime Video.
