YOUR MAMA’S NOTES: Thanks to the eagle eyes of the long-legged blond at Trulia Luxe Living we learned that Oscar-nominated actress Minnie Driver dropped $2.465 million for a walled and gated residence high in the Hollywood Hills.
Listing details show the modestly sized yet still multi-winged single-story residence — privately situated on almost half an acre down a shared driveway off a winding street and well-traveled street well known amongst all us naughty property gossips to be lined with homes owned by high profile people — has three bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms in 2,768 square feet.
The freshly rehabbed interior spaces feature a bevy of multi-paned windows not to mention a not-quite floor-to-ceiling diamond paned bay window in the living room, chocolate brown wood floors and about 27 miles of paneled wainscoting installed in pretty much every nook and cranny of the residence.
There’s a wood-burning fireplace in the L-shaped combination living and dining room and side-lit French doors in a nearby family room that open a narrow brick terrace bordered by a thicket of tree-shaded foliage. As far as our research in concerned, British-born and Barbados-raised Miz Driver, who Your Mama thought was a goddamn hoot a few years ago on “Web Therapy,” still owns a roughly 3,000-square-foot Spanish-style house also in the Hollywood Hills that she picked up way back in 1998 for $775,000.
