This Mexican chicken soup is 100% grandma-worthy | Highly Recommended
Taqueria Mercado is one of those great restaurants that I sometimes forget about despite how much I love it. And what's not to love? With its spacious, cheery dining room, friendly staff and a fun bar (even in the daytime), the fact that this downtown taqueria escapes me sometimes is a low-down dirty shame.
Feeling gloomy on a recent Thursday afternoon, I stopped in for a late lunch. I usually order the same thing: the enchiladas verdes, which are always wonderful. But given the season, I went with the chicken soup (or sopa), instead.
Good decision.
