The 2024 Cannes Film Festival is officially open.

On Tuesday, stars from across the globe brought their glamorous style to the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, France. Guest of honor Meryl Streep, the recipient of this year’s honorary Palme d’Or, joined the opening ceremony’s host Camille Cottin on the red carpet, alongside Jane Fonda, Heidi Klum and many others.

Styled by Micaela Erlanger, Meryl Streep wore a custom Dior Haute Couture dress with a wraparound detail on the waist. She accessorized the white gown with Fred Leighton jewelry.

Heidi Klum went fiery in a statement red dress from Saiid Kobeisy’s spring 2024 couture collection. She paired it with glittery pumps and diamond earrings.

Jane Fonda brought a wild flair to the red carpet in a black jumpsuit with crystal embroidery from Elie Saab’s fall 2019 collection. She completed the look with a leopard-print overcoat.

The Cannes Film Festival is an annual film festival held in Cannes, France, which previews new films from around the world. In 2024, the 77th edition will take place from May 14 to 25. American filmmaker Greta Gerwig is the jury president for the main competition, while French actress Camille Cottin will host the opening and closing ceremonies. “Kinds of Kindness,” “Oh, Canada,” “The Apprentice,” “Megalopolis” and “Furiosa” are some of the movies featured in the festival this year.
