Meet the heroes -- and superheroes -- of Disney XD's 'Mighty Med'

What do you get when you cross S.H.I.E.L.D. with ER? A pile of initials — and something like the premise of Mighty Med, Disney XD’s upcoming live-action comedy series.

The show follows the adventures of regular teens — a.k.a. “Normos” — Kaz (Bradley Steven Perry of Good Luck Charlie) and Oliver (Jake Short of A.N.T. Farm), who score jobs at a secret hospital that treats sci-fi and fantasy characters… including superheroes. The tagline: They’re saving the people who save the people.

In episode 1, the boys first discover the entrance to Mighty Med and meet a roster of colorful characters, including hospital chief Horace Diaz, his meddling telekinetic nephew Alan, and teenage superheroine Skylar Storm. Mighty Med‘s supersized one-hour premiere debuts Monday, Oct. 7 at 8:30 p.m. ET on Disney XD.
