McDonald’s teams up with Crocs for a sole-satisfying Happy Meal
McDonald’s is kicking things into sport mode with its newest Crocs collaboration.
On Sept. 11, the chain announced on its menu spotter that it will be teaming up with the footwear aficionados once again — this time, to drop the Crocs Happy Meal.
Starting Sept. 17 while supplies last, the Happy Meal will come with one of eight exclusive Crocs clips housed in its own Golden Arches-themed shoe box. Each comes with a Jibbitz sticker sheet to help diners customize their own toy. The tiny Crocs include designs based on the brand’s ball pit, Happy Meal box and more.
McDonald’s says a QR code will unlock a digital experience where fans can mix and match selections to create their very own one-of-a-kind shoe design and see it come to life through augmented reality.
“Superfans, put your Crocs? in ‘sports mode’ and get ready to run to your local McDonald’s,” the chain wrote on its menu spotter.
This isn’t the first time McDonald’s and Crocs have teamed up.
In November 2023, the brands dropped a collaboration that took classic McDonaldland characters and transformed them into Crocs footwear.
The line — which consisted of shoes, socks and Jibbitz charms — included icons such as Grimace, Hamburglar and Birdie, and sold for about $70 — $75 a pair with the socks selling for $20 each.
If you didn’t have a chance to grab them last year, all is not lost. The shoes are currently listed on resale sites like eBay, and one design — the McDonald’s x Crocs Birdie Classic Clog — is still for sale on the Crocs website.
