Maya Rudolph Shows Off Why She’s Mother In ‘SNL’ Monologue
Maya Rudolph returned to Saturday Night Live as host for the Mother’s Day show.
“Thank you from the bottom of my heart,” Rudolph said as she took the stage of Studio 8H. “It is so good to be back and for the Mother’s Day episode.”

Rudolph said that for her, it was “extra special” as she is a four-time mom, joking, “I have four beautiful kids… that I know of.”
Bowen Yang and Sarah Sherman popped up to congratulate her on Mother’s Day.
“But Maya, you’re not just a mom, you’re mo-ther,” Yang noted.
Sherman added, “You’re a 30 Rock legend. You’ve had your foot on our neck since Y2K.”
Kenan Thompson, in character, then introduced Rudolph as the Mother of the House of Rockefeller.
Rudolph then appeared on stage surrounded by a group of dancers and singing, “I’m your mother!”
The song’s lyrics referenced Rudolph’s work, including Bridesmaids and the characters she was most remembered for on SNL.
