After Matthew's tragic death, his sister Katie Gaudreau is supporting his widow Madeline through her pregnancy
Madeline Gaudreau has the support of her late husband Matthew's family after his tragic death, as she prepares for the birth of their first child.
As Madeline grieves her husband, who was killed alongside his older brother, NHL star Johnny Gaudreau, by an alleged drunk driver while out biking, the entire family has stuck together, and shared sweet memories of the two hockey players and husbands.
On Wednesday, Sept. 18, the brothers' younger sister Katie posted a picture on her Instagram Stories of Madeline's growing baby bump, and shared her affection for her nephew — who they plan to name Tripp — on the way.
“Hey Tripp," Katie, who was set to get married the day after her brothers' deaths, wrote over a close up of Madeline's stomach. "Aunt Katie loves you.”
Madeline then reshared the post on her on Instagram Stories.
