“The Masked Singer” reveals last finalist and unmasks hip-hop soul singer ahead of finale
Who will be representing Group C in the season 10 finale?

Things got personal on this week's episode of The Masked Singer.
The theme for the Group C finals Wednesday night was "Soundtrack to My Life," which essentially meant the finalists performed songs representing key moments in their life. For Donut, this apparently meant "Georgia on My Mind," for Candelabra it was "I’m Goin' Down," and Anteater opted for "Johnny B. Goode." And, since two celebrities needed to be unmasked, the episode also ultimately revealed the last finalist headed to the season finale.
To that end, Anteater was the first to get sent back to the farm. The panelists really struggled with this one, guessing practically every classic rocker except the correct one. Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg guessed Steven Van Zandt, Ken Jeong opted for Billy Joel, Robin Thicke picked Jackson Browne and Nicole Scherzinger went with John Cougar Mellencamp.
Anteater was of course none of those: He was unmasked to reveal one half of the currently feuding rock duo Hall & Oates — singer-songwriter John Oates. After being unmasked, he told the panel, "This is one of the best things I’ve ever done [in my career]."
He added, "It has been a blast…it’s so great to be in this costume and sing whatever you want…no one knows who you are…I love it and I really can’t say enough [about the experience]." (For more on Oates' thoughts on his time on the show and whether or not he and Daryl Hall will ever perform together again, read EW's exit interview here.)
This sent Candelabra and Donut to the Battle Royale to determine who would be moving on to the finale next week. Like the other group finals, a previous contestant came back — this time unmasked — to perform the song that the finalists had to sing for the battle. In this case, that meant season 3's Astronaut, Hunter Hayes, who tasked Candelabra and Donut with singing his hit, "Wanted."
Both contestants gave it their all, and the panel made it clear they did not have an easy choice in front of them. In the end, though, they wanted to see more of that jelly roll, and sent Donut on to the finale, which meant Candelabra had to unmask.
Here the panelists fared a bit better... or a few of them did anyway. Jeong opted for Kelly Rowland, and McCarthy-Wahlberg guessed Brandy. Neither were bad guesses, but it was Scherzinger and Thicke who teamed up for the correct answer: The Princess of Hip-hop Soul herself, "Let It Go" and "(When You Gonna) Give It Up to Me" singer Keyshia Cole.
This means next week's two-hour season 10 finale will feature Donut, Gazelle, Cow, and Sea Queen fighting it out for the Golden Mask Trophy. Tune in for that next Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Fox.
