Margot Robbie looks eerily like Sharon Tate in 'Once Upon a Time in Hollywood' photo
Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is shaping up to be next year’s most star-studded and stylish affair. And as suggested by our first look at Margot Robbie as the late Sharon Tate, it’s going to be an eerily accurate period piece as well.
Hot on the heels of initial photos of Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt rocking some serious late-’60s threads, as well as reports that Tate’s sister now approves of Tarantino’s in-production project, is a glimpse of Robbie in character as Tate, the actress (and wife of director Roman Polanski) who was one of five people murdered on Aug. 9, 1969, by members of the Manson family. Suffice it to say, Robbie is the actress’s spitting image:

Tate’s slaying will definitely factor into the upcoming drama, which focuses on former TV western star Rick Dalton (DiCaprio), who lived next door to Tate and Polanski in L.A. and who, along with his longtime stunt double Cliff Booth (Pitt), finds himself struggling to make it in an industry that’s rapidly changing. Set against the backdrop of the Manson murders, the saga, described by Sony as “a story that takes place in Los Angeles in 1969, at the height of hippy Hollywood,” will be a fractured, multi-storyline affair reminiscent of Pulp Fiction, although details are so far relatively scarce.

One thing we do know is that the amazing cast will also include Al Pacino, Timothy Olyphant, Damian Lewis, Dakota Fanning, Emile Hirsch, Tim Roth, Michael Madsen, Scoot McNairy, Clifton Collins, Luke Perry, and Burt Reynolds.
Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is slated to arrive in theaters on July 26, 2019.
