Magic, cosplay, food and more fun as Beaver County Library System presents LibraryCon 2023

CENTER ― An afternoon of action ? with food, local vendors, a cosplay contest and magic ? awaits at LibraryCon 2023, taking place at The Dome at CCBC on Saturday.

Presented by the Beaver County Library System, LibraryCon lasts from noon to 3 p.m., patterned after a pop culture and comics convention.

New Dimension Comics of Ellwood City, the state's largest comics retailer is among the vendors, with 13th Hour Entertainment supplying the magic.

The third annual event also is a free, family-friendly celebration of libraries, with each of the Beaver County libraries presenting a unique theme highlighting just a few of the many resources the library system has to offer.

"We are also very excited to welcome special guests: the 501st Legion of the Starkiller Garrison, the Steel City Ghostbusters, Pittsburgh Cosplay for a Cause, and Iceburgh, the mascot of the Pittsburgh Penguins," Courtney Colaizzi, BCLS' program & social media manager, said.
