Louis Tomlinson Makes 14-Year-Old Homeless Girl’s Day on ‘AGT’
One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson was the guest judge on America’s Got Talent Wednesday night, which was very exciting for all the young girls who performed. Although, one girl was more excited than the rest. Fourteen-year-old Jayna Brown was so nervous she was shaking, partly because she was standing in front of Louis and partly because this was a huge opportunity for her and her mother.
Jayna and her mom have been struggling financially and are currently homeless. The two have been staying with friends and family, which is why Jayna is looking at America’s Got Talent as a way out of poverty.
Once Jayna started singing Andra Day’s “Rise Up,” it was clear that she’s on the right path. The teenager’s beautiful performance got a standing ovation from the judges, and Louis was particularly impressed. The One Direction star, who got his start on the British series The X-Factor, liked Jayna so much that he hit his golden buzzer, immediately sending her onto the live shows.
America’s Got Talent airs Tuesday and Wednesday at 8 p.m. on NBC.
