Local dancers face off during Soul-stice Jam event

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Local dancers showed off their skills at the Hiland Theater in Albuquerque this weekend. The event was a part of the Hiland Summer Arts Festival.

The National Dance Institute of New Mexico held its summer Soul-stice Jam on Saturday. It featured breaking battles, hip-hop demonstrations, and MCs.

This year’s Soul-stice comes ahead of the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris which will include break-dancing competitions.

Cash prizes went to the best breakers in one-v-one and two-v-two competitions.
