Is a live-action Miles Morales movie being made?
Pascal spoke to Variety about future Spider-Man projects on the horizon. She confirmed that a a live-action Miles Morales movie is indeed in the works, telling the interviewer, “You’ll see all of it.” Little other details were provided, though a Spider-Woman film was also said to be in the works.
Though there has yet to be a live-action Miles Morales, the character is alluded to by his uncle Aaron Davis — played by Donald Glover — in 2017’s Spider-Man: Homecoming. In the movie, Davis refers to an unnamed nephew, which Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige later confirmed to be Miles.
Miles Morales first debuted in 2011 in Ultimate Fallout #4. He became Spider-Man in the Ultimate Marvel universe — Earth-1610 — following the death of Peter Parker. He’s since gone on to be in a wide variety of Spider-Man stories across different universes and mediums, including the upcoming movie Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse and 2020’s major PlayStation video game Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales.
He will appear again in the highly anticipated sequel Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, which recently received its first gameplay trailer and is set to release in fall 2023 exclusively on the PS5.
