The little girl from 'Jurassic Park' is all grown up and still getting chased by dinosaurs
Ariana Richards can finally enjoy her green Jell-O in peace.
The actress who played Lex in Jurassic Park (1993) showed that she’s no longer afraid of dinosaurs — at least not robotic ones — when she visited Universal Studios Hollywood on June 9. The park has released footage of Richards, now 38, surprising fans of the blockbuster franchise at their “Raptor Encounter.”
During her day at Universal Studios, Richards also took her last ride on the Jurassic Park attraction that opened in 1996. The ride is closing on Sept. 3 to make way for a more modern and exciting one tied to Jurassic World next year.

While Richards is best known for her role in Steven Spielberg’s dinosaur hit, she also had parts on shows such as Boy Meets World and movies like Tremors 3. As an adult, she’s focused more on her art than on acting. She graduated from Skidmore College and the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, Calif. According to her professional website, Richards “paints works for occasional exhibitions,” but mainly paints pieces by request.
We’re guessing she could create an amazing dinosaur painting.
