Richie’s newly confirmed 2024 dates continue last year’s highly successful Sing A Song All Night Long Tour, which made its way through several major North America markets including Chicago, Boston, Toronto, San Francisco and Los Angeles. In addition to Memphis, the upcoming tour will also play nearby markets, including a tour kickoff in Knoxville on May 23, and a date in Richie’s home state of Alabama, with a show in Birmingham on May 28.
In addition to performing, Richie — who is a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, a recipient of the Gershwin Prize for Popular Song from the Library Congress, and a Kennedy Center Honoree — continues to serve as a judge on ABC’s “American Idol” and will return for his seventh season next month.
Meanwhile, support act Earth, Wind & Fire — which was founded by the late Memphis native Maurice White — continues an illustrious career that has seen the group earn nine Grammy awards and sell more than 100 million recordings. The group, which has played Memphis regularly over the years, most recently headlined the 2023 Beale Street Music Festival.
