“Life Sucks” to run at Playcrafters Barn Theatre
Playcrafters Barn Theatre will hold performances of Life Sucks by Neil Simon, directed by Madison Duling, this month. The show will run on November 15-17 and 22-24 at the Barn Theatre in Moline. This production is rated R.
In this brash reworking of Chekhov’s Uncle Vanya, a group of old friends, ex-lovers, estranged in-laws and lifelong enemies gather to grapple with life’s thorniest questions- and each other. What could possibly go wrong? Incurably lustful and lonely, hapless and hopeful, these seven souls collide and stumble their way towards a new understanding that LIFE SUCKS! Or does it?
The cast features, Eric Landuyt, Bettendorf; Julie Hummel & Adrienne Jane, Moline; Pam Cantrell, Muscatine; Susan Perrin-Sallak, Pleasant Valley; Bruce Duling & Mike Turczynski, Rock Island.
Madison Duling, Davenport, directs Life Sucks. The staff includes Makis Witt (Stage Manager), Eric Teeter (Producer), Gio Macias (Light Designer), Lily Blouin (Fight Choreographer/Intimacy Coordinator), and Kathie Burnett (Props Master).
Performances will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and a 3 p.m. matinee on Sundays. Doors open one hour before the show.
