LeBron James has something to say to the Caitlin Clark critics: 'HI HATERS'
It's not a secret Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James is a fan of Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark.
But after Clark had 31 points and 12 assists in a win against the Chicago Sky on Friday night, James took a jab at Clark's critics.
"CAITLIN CLARK!!!!! HI HATERS,' James wrote on X.
This isn't the first time James has come to Clark's defense. In a May episode of the Mind the Game podcast with James and JJ Redick, James spoke about the criticism the Fever star received since she entered the WNBA.
"The one thing that I love that she's bringing to her sport, more people want to watch," James said. "More people want to tune in. Don't get it twisted, don't get it f----- up, Caitlin Clark is the reason why a lot of great things are going to happen to the WNBA. But for her individually, I don't think she should get involved."
James, like Clark, entered a professional sport with a big spotlight on him.
"I'm rooting for Caitlin because I've been in that seat before," James said. "I've walked that road before. I hope she kills. I hope Aliyah Boston does amazing. I hope they do great."
