Laverne Cox ‘Blown Away’ by Mini Céline Dion on ‘America’s Got Talent’
Laverne Cox = Amazing
On America’s Got Talent, guest judge Laverne Cox was captivated by 9-year-old Celine Tam and her rendition of Michael Bolton’s “How Am I Supposed to Live Without You.” Laverne said to the pint-size performer, “I just want to eat you up and take you home. You are so adorable and so cute, and your voice is amazing!”
A family affair
Celine said, “Tonight I’m gonna be singing a song for my little sister. It’s about how we love each other. We’re sisters and best friends.” Celine Tam and her younger sister, Dion, are named after the famous singer Céline Dion. Celine’s parents, Agnes and Steve, have always loved the famous singer’s music, and Celine grew up listening to the talented diva. Much like her namesake, Celine knows how to belt out a tune.
Gold is the new black
Since Laverne had been given the power of the Golden Buzzer, she couldn’t help but send Celine straight to the live show.
America’s Got Talent airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on NBC. Watch clips and full episodes of America’s Got Talent for free on Yahoo View.
