Lady Gaga Announces New Album ‘Mayhem’
Following a slew of teasers, including a website countdown and cross country billboards, Lady Gaga has announced her highly anticipated seventh studio album.
The new album, Mayhem, will mark Gaga’s “return” to her “pop roots,” according to a release. The 14-track album, which will feature the previously release singles “Disease” and “Die with a Smile,” comes on the heels of the 38-year-old singer’s 2024 album, Harlequin, based on her Joker: Folie à Deux character, Harley Quinn.

Gaga revealed the full track list for the LP on Tuesday.
In addition to “Disease” and “Die With a Smile,” Gaga has released “Abracadabra” as a single, debuting the music video for the track during a commercial break at the 2025 Grammy Awards. “The album started as me facing my fear of returning to the pop music my earliest fans loved,” the Grammy- and Oscar-winning performer said in a statement.
The album is described as reinventing the singer’s early music while “embracing a fresh and fearless artistic perspective.” The singer said in statement that her creative process resembles “a shattered mirror: Even if you can’t put the pieces back together perfectly, you can create something beautiful and whole in its own new way.”
Mayhem kicks off a big year for Gaga musically. It was announced she’d be receiving the 2025 iHeartRadio Innovator Award during the iHeartRadio Music Awards in March. The Star is Born actress is also headlining this year’s Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, alongside Green Day and Post Malone.
Gaga also recently performed at the FireAid relief concert, benefiting those in the L.A. community devastated by recent wildfires. And she was part of the star-studded SNL50: The Homecoming Concert on Friday, joining Andy Samberg for “Dick in a Box” and other Lonely Island songs.
Mayhem is set to be released on March 7.
