If Kyle and Mauricio Are Faking Their Marriage Troubles, It Could Backfire
Kyle Richards‘ storyline on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 13 involves a questionable separation from her husband, Mauricio Umansky. Unfortunately, Mauricio and the word shady have grown close over the years. Multiple rumors about him cheating on Kyle have swirled, and he’s also been sued over a Malibu mansion sale gone sideways.
One more thing. Mauricio’s real estate company was formed after he left Rick Hilton’s agency. This further divided Kyle and her sister, Kathy Hilton. Basically, Mauricio has made some calculated moves over the past decade, which Kyle is likely pissed about.
Even still, many viewers are calling foul over their separation. To explain, Kyle has grown close to country singer Morgan Wade. This season, all signs have pointed to an affair between these two women. That’s an epic storyline for Kyle, but Morgan’s ex works for Mauricio’s company, which kinda feels…convenient.
Likewise, Mauricio has also been seen getting close to new rumored love interests. Each time a new image circulates, Kyle expresses her sadness. But then, both she and Mauricio deny that either are officially dating anyone, yet.
Additionally, with all of these new rumored trysts blowing in their rich winds, Kyle and Mauricio have yet to hit the divorce button on their marriage. So what in the world is going on? The answer here is nuanced, but man, we hope that this all isn’t one big fake narrative to help secure Kyle’s spot on further seasons of RHOBH. If these two are indeed faking their marriage troubles on Bravo, it could backfire greatly, and we’ll explain why now.
First, Here’s What Kyle Has Said on This Being Fake
Multiple tabloids are pushing a fake storyline narrative regarding Kyle and Mauricio’s marital troubles. Therefore, Kyle hit back, but she did so behind Bravo’s Hot Mic podcast, which has a paywall attached. No worries, because I listened for you. Here’s a quick recap.
On this podcast, Kyle was questioned by one of the network’s Executive Producers, Alex Baskin, causing Kyle to exclaim, “What human being would create a story like this? Put their family through this. That is one of the dumbest things I’ve maybe ever heard in these 13 years. I’m going to pretend that I’m separated and torture my children?”
In Kyle’s own words, this storyline is real. Doubling-down makes sense if this is indeed true, but if not, Kyle’s going to see a lot of backlash forming, should their marital troubles be found false.
And Yet…Something Is Still Off
Before we can even get into what a false storyline might bring, a new thread on Reddit just appeared, lending credence to this all being fake. We love a thorough backstory, so let’s dive in. Basically, Kyle and Mauricio are currently vacationing in Aspen. Paparazzi have captured them both, living it up. Aspen regulars claimed in the thread that, “even height of season (now) there are A+++ celebs everywhere and zero paparazzi.”
As for the main header of this thread, the OP writes, “I hope everyone realizes, all the paparazzi photos you are seeing in the tabloids are paid photographers, and publicist that Kyle and Mauricio have paid for. I have a friend who is at casa Tua yesterday with the photographer and he spilled the beans. Kyle is paying photography to provide stories to outlets. It’s all BS!!”
Interesting. Now, let’s talk about what problems could arise, if Kyle and Mauricio are faking their marriage troubles.
A Fake Storyline Might See Kyle Booted From RHOBH
For 13 seasons, Kyle has been a mainstay on RHOBH. She’s also very close to the production team, including Andy Cohen. Basically, she’s been a protected cast member for an incredibly long time, but the fans are growing weary of this series’ contrived storylines. In an interview with Bustle, which was then shared on the Up and Adam! Podcast, Kyle admitted that sometimes, this show’s narratives have been forced.
“I can only think of one, and that was the dog story with Lucy whatever it was. Our show isn’t staged or set up, but I think that was brought to the table with the intention for there to be another spinoff,” Kyle explained. This dang storyline about this precious pup was annoying, and now that we know it wasn’t all accurately portrayed on-air, we feel played. The Fox Force Five, a friends group that Kyle is a part of, have also forced certain conversations to air over the years, which has resulted in the loss of various cast members on this series
We’re sick of this. In each contrived storyline so far, Kyle’s been attached. If her marital troubles turn out to be yet another ploy for ratings, we, and many others, will likely start tuning out, as the reality aspect is dead. In turn, Kyle could loose her spot on RHOBH.
If Fake, Mauricio’s Business Could Take a Hit
The Agency, Mauricio’s firm, prides itself on their gorgeous mansions. In real estate, high dollar signs are seen. Therefore, the clients want to know that they are being treated with honesty. If it turns out that Mauricio has been pushing a false narrative, his company could take a financial hit, because if he’s willing to lie on-air to the general public that are tuning in, what else might he be lying about in this aspect of his life?
Morgan’s Reputation Could Also Be Damaged
There’s no questioning how close Kyle and Morgan Wade are, yet, Kyle seems more into it than Morgan. This broaches the possibility that for Morgan, this might all just be a publicity stunt for her music career. If it turns out that this is fake, and Morgan went along for the ride, Morgan could face backlash from the fans, who are aggressive, at best. Overall, we hope that Kyle and Mauricio are being honest, but on this, only time will tell.
