Here's the unexpected look Kourtney Kardashian wore to speak on Capitol Hill
Who says you need to have a wardrobe that’s all business at the United States Capitol?
Not Kourtney Kardashian, who wore a crop top with her pants and jacket Tuesday during her appearance on the Senate floor, where she spoke in support of legislation that would give the Food and Drug Administration more control over the ingredients in personal products and cosmetics — such as Kardashian’s new Kourt x Kylie collaboration with her little sister Kylie Jenner.

The Kardashians, as well as the Jenners, have a track record of wearing stylish, sometimes racy clothing at unexpected places: a sheer top for a prayer service (Kourtney), a corset for a business meeting (Kylie), and a bare midriff for Easter church service (Kendall). Kim memorably sported stilettos and leather pants for a trip to the zoo in February 2014. So, really, Kourtney’s look isn’t that outrageous.

Kourtney, 39, arrived about 20 minutes late, according to the Washington Post. She spoke about how her concern over healthy ingredients came from being a mom. The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star also noted that during her trip to D.C., she had to rely on the lotion in her hotel; her own had been taken by security at the airport because it was too large.
“The fact that we have to guess so much — we shouldn’t be walking around going, ‘Is this OK?'” Kourtney said.

The appearance fell on the same day that Kourtney’s collaboration with Kylie is set to be released. (And, we’re guessing, it will be the same day that it will sell out, judging by demand for Kylie’s other makeup ventures.)
