Kendrick Lamar To Give Rare Interview Ahead Of Super Bowl Halftime Show Performance
Kendrick Lamar is set to sit down for a rare interview ahead of his upcoming Super Bowl Halftime Show performance.
On Monday (Feb. 3), it was announced that Lamar will be appearing at the Apple Music Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show press conference on Thursday (Feb. 6), where the rapper will speak with hosts Ebro Darden and Nadeska Alexis.
The presser, which will begin at 10 AM CT and be streamed exclusively on Apple Music, is likely to touch on a myriad of topics regarding K.Dot’s whilrlwind year, including his landslide victory over Drake and the success of his chart-topping diss, “Not Like Us,” as well as his GNX album.
The announcement of the Apple Music Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show press conference came the day after Kendrick dominated the 67th Annual GRAMMYs, as “Not Like Us” took home awards for Song of the Year, Record of the Year, Best Rap Performance, Best Music Video, and Best Rap Song.
Those victories brought his total number of GRAMMY Award wins to 22, two less than Kanye West (24), and three less than JAY-Z (25), who holds the all-time GRAMMY Awards record for a Hip-Hop artist.
Kendrick’s upcoming Super Bowl Halftime Show performance is scheduled to go down on Sunday (Feb. 9), at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, LA.
It will be his first headlining Super Bowl appearance and second time performing at the game, overall, as he previously took to the field and stage for Dr. Dre’s star-studded Apple Music Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show in his hometown of Los Angeles.
